Building upon its efforts to provide greater access to vaccines and other health care services for populations in need,Walgreens has partnered with the United Nations Foundation this flu season, to help provide up to 3 million life-saving vaccines to children in developing countries through a donation to the Foundation's Shot@Life campaign.
Through October 14th, when you get a flu shot or any other immunization at Walgreens or Healthcare Clinic, they will help provide a life-saving vaccine, primarily those for polio and measles, to children in developing countries in need through Shot@Life – up to 3 million vaccines. Even if you're not one for getting flu shots, spread the word and give those who do a chance to save lives!
Statistics show 1 in 5 children worldwide lack access to life-saving immunizations, and a child dies every 20 seconds from a vaccine-preventable disease.Through the United Nations Foundation's Shot@Life Campaign, Walgreens and YOU can help.Simply go into Walgreens, get a shot and give a shot. See? Simple.
