Austin's week basking in the spotlight as National Geographic Kids' Weird But True Town of 2013 is over, but we will always have the memories. Also, Austinites, don't forget to enter my Giveaway of a year subscription to National Geographic Kids Magazine.
The highlight of the week was North Pole in the South Snow Day. It was a giant patch of ice on the Rise School of Austin parking lot and the kids came, they saw, the conquered. I caught a few stray snow balls in the back of my right rib cage, but I took it like a mom.
Pink Snowsuit! My author friend, Yolanda King of Curlilocks fame, wins for cutest pink thing ever!
He totally hit me with one of those when I turned around.
See?! Cutest pink thing ever!
