I heard this song on the radio the other day. Smote. In music and film, if there is a good dose of lamenting, I am SO in. This song starts out with Gotye remembering when love went from hot to cold. By the time he gets to the chorus he's all emotional like, but you didn't have to cut me off--acting like we were nothing--I'm not even an ex, I'm just somebody you use to know. Then Kimbra comes in basically like, you were an ass and now you're complaining--get over yourself. Then he's all, I know but I'm just sayin', I don't want to get back together, but that was harsh...
"But you didn't have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing
And I don't even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough"
I ran across the Glee performance.
I love that the song here is interpreted as a song between brothers--(random bit of trivia)Gotye, apparently, did not.

Haha! I LOVE this song too! too funny! And I think it's hilarious that Gotye didn't like the Glee rendition cause that's how I started liking the song and that's totally a part of it doing AWESOME on the charts!
Anyway, I think it's great that you've found other avenues to work at and that your son gets to see you doing all that jazz. I know he's so proud of you! I miss yall, we need to kick it soon. Just been soooo busy, as I'm sure you've been the same! One of these days we'll hafta move to your nexk of the woods!

I agree! When I heard it on the radio, I was like this sounds familiar. Forgot I had heard it briefly on Glee. Dude, it has been forever! We would be happy to have you in the 'burbs. :-)
