The morning radio show I listen to during my morning commute plays THE BEST DJ mix of songs from the 70s-90s on Fridays. When I heard Montel Jordan's "This Is How We Do It" it took me straight back to college party days. I don't know where Montel is now, but this song was the jam back then.
Me and my friends use to make up dance routines back then too ("Fo' Deep" was the name of our group...yes, we had a group). I spent many hours in college hanging out with one of my friends in particular (shoutout Blensita!) and we would practice the same dance routine to a many different songs. Fast, slow, it didn't matter. We had so much fun. I had the most special experiences and met the most important people in my life during those
four five years in college. Fun times.
Speaking of dancing and college days, Billy and my friend Blen introduced me to reggae music my sophomore year in college. I was like, "Where has Buju been all my life?" We're going dancing at a good spot for reggae this evening. I will be wearing sensible shoes so I can keep up with Billy and his West Indian hips tonight.
Other fun-ness in the works for this long weekend too. Y'all have some fun too. I'll see y'all on the flipside.
