I ran across this article link on ConversationalReading.com today. This guy who describes his relationship with books as "just this side of pervy" agrees to read e-books on a mobile device in lieu of paper books. He writes about the experience.
I don't think I'd ever embrace e-books--I appreciate the paper too much. Audiobooks I can do, but if I'm going to be reading a book, I want to read a book.

I love paper too much too. It's not like you can line up the device that you're reading it from. I enjoy the book covers sometimes as much as the book.

Hi
I've nominated you for a Thinking Blogger award.

@ GC- Um. Thanks?! Um. Awesome?! Now, you know I had to click on the link to make sure this wasn't spam or something. This is very excIIIting! I don't know much about these awards (yet, of course I'm gonna be a Googling fool later to learn more about this), but it's an honor just being nominated. ;)
And thanks for your awesome description of my blog. Blogging, non-anonymously for my family and real-life friends as well as e-people keeps me honest. Not that I need mmmmmuch help in that area, but ever incentive counts. :)
Oh, and welcome back!

this is not one of those fancy money-in-the-pot nominations. It started pretty humbly actually and pretty much remains that way. As far as I can see it's a way to tell your readers about some good quality reading to be had elsewhere and give a high five to some blogs you enjoy. And I didn't go anywhere. Lurking. Always lurking.

Oh! SO you mean it's like one of those chain mail game things...
STILL excited! And happy to play. :)
