My coworker just gave me another "mix tape" CD of indie rap joints written, performed and produced by him and his boys. I respect his skills. It's really cool that he's created for himself a platform to say what he wants...and in such a creative way. The flow is more like spoken word than anything--you know--the lyrics are more important than the beats.
My favorite track is #3-Grow Up, which asks the ever relevant questions, "What did you want to be when you grew up? What do you want to be when you die?"
