In college, my uniform was like rubber flip flops with my favorite jeans and a some kind of t-shirt from Spring to late Fall, then black Timberland boots with my favorite jeans and some tee shirt with a jacket during the winter. I lived on campus at a Catholic University, which was a whole different ballgame from what I was use to. In my high school, how well you dressed was everything. There "IT" girls would even wear pant suits up in that joint. That was a lot of pressure. I was so relieved when I saw how relaxed the general vibe was when I moved on campus. I was home, man. Austin is like my college campus. I can wear flip flops with everything and fit right in. I can see my mom rolling her eyes while reading this.
It's strange, 'cause I love shoes...dress shoes...heels. I buy them...all the time. I have heels that I haven't even worn yet, but I can't stop. I think it's 'cause my feet are big, and I'm not use to nice shoes coming in my size, so when I see them, it's like I have this thing going on like if I don't get them, I'll never have the chance again. Then I'll get them, and they'll join the collection of other very cool, yet unworn shoes in my closet.
